ニルライ企画のための三枚目。
この絵はニールとライルが寄り添って同じ場所に居るように見えますが、
互いが遠く離れた所に居て(ニールは暗殺仕事あるいはガンダムマイスター、ライルは学生か社会人)、
お互いを想っている、そのつもりで描きました。
23話で散った時のロックオンの思いとか、
感傷的な願望ですけどその時何か感じたかもしれない弟とか…。
兄弟間のすれ違いや確執は綺麗なものばかりではないと想像できるのですが、
憎しみあっていたわけじゃないこのふたりが、相手の心の欠片でも
感じる事ができていたらいいな。
余談ですが、この絵のタイトル「星への旅」はちょうど読んでいた吉村昭さんの同名小説から頂いています。
しかし吉村さんの星への旅は、無力感と虚無から集団自殺する少年少女のお話で、
内容は重なる所がありません。安易にタイトル頂きました。
